Ingredients
  

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 21-ounce can blackberry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Black sanding sugar for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the spice cake mix evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • Spoon the blackberry pie filling over the cake mix.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the pie filling.
  • Scatter fresh blackberries evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle ground ginger and chopped pecans over the berries.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until bubbly and set.
  • Let cool, then top with dollops of whipped topping.
  • Garnish with black sanding sugar for a spooky finish.
