  • 1 21-ounce can apple pie filling (Yes, we’re taking shortcuts because we can.)
  • 1/2 box yellow cake mix Or close enough. We’re not measuring in waffle iron world.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted (for that golden perfection)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon a sprinkle of cozy

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the waffle iron and give it a good spray with non-stick cooking spray. Nobody likes a sticky situation, especially not with dessert.
  • In a big ol’ bowl, mix the apple pie filling, cake mix, melted butter, and cinnamon. Embrace the ease of dump cakes—no fuss, no fancy.
  • Spoon a portion of that apple-cinnamon magic onto your preheated waffle iron.
  • Close it up and let the waffle iron work its magic for 5-7 minutes. Peek if you must, but try to let it get to that golden-brown stage.
  • Carefully remove the cake, let it cool just a smidge, then devour!
