Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish—let’s keep things easy, not sticky.
Spread the lime pie filling evenly in the dish. Squeeze a little extra lime juice over the top if you’re a citrus lover.
Pour the tequila over the filling. It’s five o’clock somewhere, right?
Sprinkle the lime zest and sugar over the top to add some zing.
Spread the cake mix evenly over the lime layer.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix—this is the magic that makes it golden and delicious.
