Ooey Gooey Butter Dump Cake
This Ooey Gooey Butter Dump Cake takes the rich, custardy sweetness of the St. Louis classic and gives it the no-fuss dump cake treatment. It’s buttery, creamy, and downright dangerous to be left alone with.

1 box yellow cake mix unprepared 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter melted 4 large eggs divided 1 8-ounce package cream cheese softened 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F if using a glass pan). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs. Stir until fully combined, then press evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining 2 eggs, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Beat until light and creamy.
Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center still jiggles slightly (remember, it’s supposed to be gooey).
Cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
