1 box yellow cake mix reserve 1 cup for topping 1 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted 1 8-ounce package cream cheese softened 3 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 ¾ cups powdered sugar about 1 lb box
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup reserved cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the crust.
In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
Pour cream cheese mixture over the pecans and crust layer. Spread evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining dry cake mix evenly on top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown on top but still gooey in the center.
Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
