1 box chocolate cake mix 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted 1/2 cup Kahlua or your favorite coffee liqueur 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled 1 cup mini chocolate chips 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish—because no one wants to chisel cake out of a pan.
Pour the coffee and Kahlua into the dish and stir together. Don’t you just love the smell of coffee?
Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips evenly over the coffee mixture.
Spread the cake mix evenly over the chocolate chips—this is going to be gooood.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, making sure it’s all covered.
Sprinkle the sugar over the top for a little extra sweetness.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is set and your kitchen smells like a coffee shop. Serve warm, maybe with an extra splash of Kahlua on the side.
