Ingredients
  

  • 1 box cinnamon cake mix
  • 1 15-ounce can apple pie filling
  • ½ cup maple syrup the real stuff, not the pancake syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the cinnamon cake mix evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • Spoon apple pie filling over the cake mix.
  • Drizzle the melted syrup over the pie filling.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the maple syrup.
  • Arrange sliced apples evenly on top.
  • In a bowl, mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle over the apples.
  • Add chopped walnuts if using.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool before serving.
