  • 1 cup chocolate milk or regular milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 packets hot chocolate mix
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping plus extra for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling
  • Shaved chocolate or sprinkles optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a 9x13-inch dish, dump the chocolate cake mix, hot chocolate packets, chocolate milk, and melted butter. Stir it up just enough to combine, but leave it a bit lumpy because we're all about the effortless look!
  • Sprinkle those mini chocolate chips on top like a diva sprinkling drama. Don't mix them in—let them sit there proudly.
  • Pop this beauty into the fridge to cool down for about 30 minutes while you sneak a spoonful of that vanilla ice cream.
  • Once cooled, spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the cake layer like a frozen blanket. Top it with whipped topping and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
