Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking dish or pan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup digestive biscuits or graham crackers, roughly crushed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips milk or dark, your choice
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup crushed shortbread cookies
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows optional but fun!

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In the baking dish, sprinkle a layer of crushed biscuits, chocolate chips, raisins, and shortbread crumbs, mixing them a bit for even distribution.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate cake mix evenly over the top.
  • Pour the melted butter and sweetened condensed milk as evenly as possible across the surface. Try to cover as much as possible, but don’t worry if it’s a bit patchy – it’ll come together in the oven!
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake looks set and a bit crispy on top. Remove from the oven and sprinkle mini marshmallows on top if using. Let them melt slightly.
  • Cool before slicing – or dig right in with a spoon if you can’t wait!
