Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dump Cake

It’s like your favorite cookie dough and chocolate cake had a deliciously messy love child, and trust me, you’ll want to be there for every gooey bite. Warning: This cake may cause spontaneous declarations of love from children and the young at heart.

Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking dish or pan

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chip cookie dough store-bought or homemade—no judgment
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter melted (because life is better with butter)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips because you can never have too much chocolate
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional, but it makes you feel fancy

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Take a deep breath; this is going to be epic.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough evenly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Resist the urge to eat it all before it hits the pan.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over the cookie dough like you’re spreading joy, because you are.
  • Drizzle that melted butter on top like you’re an artist creating a masterpiece—because you are.
  • Add mini chocolate chips and pecans if you’re feeling extra. Trust me, you’re worth it.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is set and the cookie dough is the perfect level of gooey goodness.
  • Let it cool slightly before diving in—if you can wait that long.
