Ingredients
  

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix the darker, the better!
  • 2 21-ounce cans cherry pie filling (yes, we’re going all in with the cherries)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter don’t skimp, it's cake, not a salad
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips extra rich!
  • 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries for that extra “wow, she added more cherries” flair

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let that delicious aroma dream begin.
  • Grab your 9x13-inch baking dish and give it a good greasing – cherry pie filling deserves a smooth landing.
  • Spread that cherry pie filling evenly across the dish like you’re painting a masterpiece.
  • Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix all over the cherries like a pro. This isn’t the time for measuring; go wild.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, watching it pool like the chocolate lake it was destined to be.
  • Top it all off with dark chocolate chips and those chopped maraschino cherries.
  • Pop it in the oven for 40-45 minutes, or until it’s set and the edges are bubbling like it's having a celebration of its own.
