Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking dish or pan
  • 1 small saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream don’t be shy—pour generously
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish—no one likes a sticky situation.
  • Pour the Baileys into the dish, and swirl it around like you’re the bartender of the year.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the Baileys—this is already sounding divine.
  • Sprinkle the cake mix over the chocolate chips, spreading it out as evenly as possible.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix—this is what makes it rich and dreamy.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then stir in the vanilla extract. Pour this over the cake mix.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is set and the inside is molten and gooey. Serve warm, maybe with a little more Baileys on the side. Why not?
