Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking dish or pan

Ingredients

  • 1 21-ounce can apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Because more butter is always better.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the dish. This is your fruity foundation.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Pour the dry cake mix evenly over the top. No stirring, just let it lounge. Scatter the crumbled bacon over the cake mix. Because bacon makes everything better.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over everything. Pretend you're in a butter commercial, really go for it.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it cool a bit, then serve with ice cream. Or eat it straight from the dish. We don’t judge here.
