Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking dish or pan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter slightly melted (because life’s too short for chunky, unmelted peanut butter)
  • 1 12-ounce jar grape jelly or strawberry jam (whichever side of the PB&J war you're on)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix because we're fancy like that
  • 1/2 cup butter melted (let’s face it, butter makes everything better)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Yes, we’re really doing this.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread that slightly melted peanut butter. The more evenly, the better—channel your inner perfectionist.
  • Dollop spoonfuls of jelly or jam over the peanut butter like you’re creating edible art.
  • Sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top, and try not to snack on it (no promises).
  • Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix like a drizzle pro—show that cake who's boss.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and set. You'll know it’s done when your kitchen smells like a PB&J dream.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving, if you can resist diving in immediately.

Diva's Little Extras

-Drag a fork lightly across the top of the cake mix before baking, and drop teaspoonsful of peanut butter in random locations on the top of the cake before baking.

-Swap the jelly for chocolate spread and turn this into a dessert that even your inner child didn’t know they needed.

-Use crunchy peanut butter for that extra crunch. Bonus: it’s an arm workout!

-Add sliced bananas to the mix and suddenly, you’re fancy with a PB&J Banana Dump Cake.

Presentation Suggestions:

Drizzle extra peanut butter on top and sprinkle with crushed peanuts. Serve with a side of milk for that classic, dunk-worthy PB&J experience.
